Europe has two production sites - Pfaffenhofen (Germany) and Altkirch (France). Both sites are visited regularly by national/ international authorities like the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA). State-of-the-art facilities and automation ensure a consistently high production quality.
Pfaffenhofen contributes significantly to our global production capacity. Pharmaceuticals are both developed and manufactured on site. Pfaffenhofen's activities comprise of biotechnology API (active pharmaceutical ingredients) manufacturing and the production of solid pharmaceutical products (tablets and film-coated tablets). Product is exported as bulk or finished packs to patients into more than 50 countries.
